AJMAN PORT RECEIVES THREE NEW HYBRID RUBBER TYRED GANTRY CRANES (RTGC)

Hutchison Ajman International Terminals (HAJT) has reached a historic milestone by receiving three brand new hybrid rubber tyred gantry crane (RTGCs), the first ever of the Ajman Port. The three RTGCs are manufactured by ZPMC, the world largest crane manufacturer. The machines are designed and manufactured to international codes and standards, and work in a range of temperatures varying from -5 to +50 Celsius degrees to suit the UAE climate. The RTGCs are equipped with Sumitomo hybrid system as well as LED lights, which make them environmental friendly by saving approximately 35% energy. With lifting capacity of 41ton single lift and ability to operate 20’, 40’ and 45’ containers’ size, these RTGCs are expected to highly improve the efficiency of Ajman port operations and increase the handling capacity.
