Dear Valued Customers, Further to our Circulars dated 23rd October 2017, and 16th November 2017, regarding the introduction of VAT, which is effective from 1st January 2018, we would like to reemphasize those goods that are imported to and exported from the UAE are required to be declared to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). We have received further information from the Department of Ports & Customs Ajman (DPC) and the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), stating that if an importer fails to provide their TRN to DPC, the clearance of their goods will be blocked by DPC until the TRN is provided. This procedure shall take effect from 1st January 2018. Therefore, to avoid any delays on future shipments, all importers/exporters are requested to provide their company’s Tax Registration Number (TRN) following the enclosed guidelines to request HAJT to update your company information. How to Request Hutchison Ports Ajman to update your Company Information? Step 1: Download the Tax Registration Number (TRN) form, from “FORM DOWNLOADS”. Step 2: Fill the data required in the template. Step 3: Save the completed template. Step 5: Print the completed template on your company letterhead. Step 5: Sign and stamp the printed document (letter of request). Step 6: Submit the following requirements: • Valid Trade License copy • Certificate of Registration for VAT issued by FTA • Completed template in pdf format • Signed and stamped document (letter of request)
